I bought this intending to keep it as a weekend toy / 2nd bike, but sadly I've discovered that I'm a bit too old, tall and fat for the riding position.
Late model 1996 P reg CBR 400 RR NC29 - JDM / import bike but very easy to insure and to get parts.
In-Line 4 cylinder 4 stroke, proper sportsbike (much better than the modern small capacity sports bikes with their thin tires and weedy single or twin cylinder engines).
MOTed until 22nd of July 2017
- Used to be 33bhp restricted and comes with the restricter washers (NOT currently fitted) and the potentially useful restriction certificate.
- R&G Crash Protectors
- Micron Carbon end can (comes with the standard can and a stubby one too)
- Stainless Steel downpipes
- Single Seat converter (comes with pillion seat too, and the standard foldaway pillion footpegs are fitted).
- Mini Indicators.
It's certainly not perfect (come on, it is a 20 year old bike), but runs really well, is quick and great fun to ride.
Totally useable as it is, enjoy it for the rest of the summer and then tinker with it in the winter to make it perfect for next year.
My price reflects the condition and to be honest I'm just looking to get back what it owes me. Mint ones can go for way more than twice what I'm asking, so no stupid offers please.
I may be interested in taking a bike in part ex / p/x / swap / trade (some money either way). Especially if you have one of the following: Yamaha BT-1100 Bulldog, Honda CBR600 (1999 and newer), Hornet (600 or 900), Maybe a GSXR, R6 or ZX6R
I am NOT interested in cars, unless you have a mk2 Mazda MX5, a mk3 Toyota MR2 or something else fun with a soft top.
